4/12/16~~ 8+ months...Where has the time gone?‏

Well, I have officially been a missionary for 8 months, and in the country for 6, it seriously blows my mind just thinking about it! This time we have to serve is seriously so short and precious, we literally have to milk it for all its worth while we can!
To celebrate 6 months in country, Sister Jeppson went to Budapest!!! Just kidding that isnt why we went, but hey, added benefits, right? We had a couple appointments and had a 4 hour break in between so we decided to take a trip up to Buda Castle! Seriously Buda is the prettiest city that I have ever seen, it just has so much history! We had the opportunity to go to the Dracula caves and go around in them. Turns out Dracula is actually a real person, I felt a little stupid when I realized that he wasn't just a cartoon vampire! Turns out he was a ruler that was then sentenced to prison for 10 years in a cave system underneath the Buda Castle where he was tortured. Once he was released he went around impaling anybody that associated themselves with the guy who imprisoned him, which is how he got the legend of being a vampire! Maybe you guys already knew that, but it was new info for me! So that was a super cool experience that we had this week! That and some freshly made pistachio ice cream made for quite the celebration!

Henrik finally let us cut some twigs! He said we couldn't cut wood cause
"That is men's work" I think we showed him with the twigs though!!

Aside from the fun, we had a few good/interesting teaching appointments this week. The first one was with our investigator T. He is a super kind man who has been investigating the church for like 4 years now. He reads the scriptures and he loves the missionaries, but he hasn't really been progressing. We finally sat him down this week and asked him about his priorities so we could figure out if we should continue meeting with him or not. We got into a discussion about the Book of Mormon and it was really interesting because during the teaching we ended up dropping him, but I have never felt the spirit so strong in a lesson. T is really is trying his best to do what we ask him.. Sister Jeppson and I both just kindly bore our testimony to him about the Book of Mormon and the sacredness of that book. I think sometimes even us members forget how precious the Book of Mormon is and we forget exactly why it is that we read it. In-fact, the most important things to learn from reading the Book of Mormon are not even written on the pages of the book. The best way to learn when we read the Book of Mormon is through the spirit.  We can sit and read pages on end from the Book of Mormon, but if we don't have the spirit with us, then we are still missing the point. The spirit is the key, it takes the things that we read, and interprets them into something that we can understand and apply specifically to our personal lives. So our goal is to always live to be worthy of the spirit and strive to have it with us so that we can truly get from the Book of Mormon what our Father in Heaven would have us learn! I have such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon, I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to read and learn from it every single morning! I know that the best way to be happy in this life is to take the impressions we get while reading from the scriptures and to apply them in our lives and live by them as best as we can!

As far as other things go, TRANSFERS ARE TOMORROW!!! Unfortunately I will be leaving Kecskemét, they are shutting down sisters here, so I will be going to Békéscsaba! It is a little bittersweet leaving this place, I have truly grown to love all of the members here in Kecskemét and they have all had such a great influence on me! I am so thankful for the opportunity i have had to serve here and get to know all of them, but know my time is up and I must move on! I am super excited to be headed to Békés! I will be serving with Sister Grogan, and I am so happy! We have talked quite a bit and I absolutely adore her! It is going to be a blast! I am going to go pack now, but I will talk to you guys next week from Békés! I love you all and hope you have a great week!

Sok Szeretettel,
